Mónica Carriço is an architect, researcher and director of movingcities. She holds a master’s degree in Architecture Urban & Territorial Planning from Lisbon’s Technical University and is a member of the Portuguese Architects’ Guild. From 2002 until 2006, Mónica practiced architecture in Amsterdam (NL) with One Architecture and SeARCH architects. In September 2006 she moved to Beijing (CN) to collaborate with People’s Architecture, a non-profit cultural and educational organization based in New York. From May-July 2007 she was, along with Ned Rossiter and Bert de Muynck, coordinator of the ‘Transdisciplinary Research on Creative Industries in Beijing - Mobile Research Laboratory’ | orgnets.org. Currently she is developing architecture/urban research and visual communication design within movingcities.
